The Fall: Last Days of Gaia is a stunning 3D role-playing game set in a postmodern scenario that takes you to the year 2083. A global catastrophe almost wipes mankind from the face of the earth and you must survive in an inhospitable world. Listen to me! I have the Gaia, and it is an excellent synth for the price. It is very tweekable, if you're into that kind of hands-on programability. Roland fixed the problem of not being able to turn of the GM set that is built in on midi channels 2 thru 16 (yeahhhh!).

I've saved enough money to buy one those. As of now, my main concern is to buy a synth that allows me to make any kind of sound for an entire track (leads, bass, pads, strings, arps) and that I use for live performance.
So far, I am interested in the Minilogue because of its lower price, solid construction and true analog sound. Many people have said it is an absolute beauty in terms of quality. Some of the things I don't liKE about it is the lack of effects, and I am afraid that using vst effects from my DAW will make synth sound cheap.
The Roland Gaia appeals to me because it is bigger and that is a major plus for performance. Also, it has an extra oscillator, a wide range of effects, and an exclusive super saw sound. But I've seen it criticized because it is virtual analogue and the sound isn't as good, and that it feels cheap.
If it is useful to explain what kind if music I want to create, certain artists such as deadmau5, Porter Robinson and Steve Angello come to mind.
Thanks in before hand!
